We've had another great week with friends dropping by and staying a couple of days. The weather has been great except for yesterday when it reached 102. There were a lot of people in the preserve for Father's Day. We hope all Father's were Honoured this day.
We started by doing some cooking in preparation for Chris and Oscars arrival on Tuesday. I have planned a breakfast casserole for Wednesday and spaghetti with garlic bread for Tuesday evening. Wednesday lunch we took them to San Juan Batista to "Jardines" for lunch. In addition to the great food there is a wonderful garden to stroll through.
We had a great day. Thursday we did a picnic here at the camp site. It was easier than lugging all that food to another location and back again. We took a drive to see some of the scenery. We were in hopes of spotting some wildlife but alasse there was none to be seen.
We shared our "Vino de Mocca" from Kirigin Cellars with them and they liked it so much they purchased a case. It is a very good wine. It goes great with cheese cake and with vanilla ice cream.
Chris and Oscar are gone now. Off on adventures of their own. They had a graduation at Stanford to attend and then meet up with other friends, Denny & Sam, which we haven't met yet, for yet another adventure. Busy, busy, busy. As for us we leave here on Friday for Oregon. I am planning 3 nights on the road so as not to be too tired each day.
