North to cooler weather

Our time in Morgan Hill is over and the decision was made to go to Florence Oregon, primarily by the US Weather Service.  Just kidding of coarse but they did have a certain amount of influence with the cooler forecast in Oregon.  With much consideration we made the decision.  Taking the same and most economical route as we have done this before.

One thing I have discovered is that if you travel the same route over and over it seems shorter each time.  It didn't seem like 600 miles this time.  Every mile was uneventful.  We stopped at 3 casino's, 1-each night.  Our one high light of the trip was in Reedsport, Oregon.  We got to watch the draw bridge turn to allow a fishing vessel through.  Cookie jumped out and snapped a bunch of pictures.

While at Seven Feathers Casino the clouds rolled in and a spectacular rainbow appeared.  Pictures don't do it justice.

It was a perfect arch.  I think it was the first time I had seen a full rainbow.

While coming through the Siskyou mountains the clouds were rolling over the mountains.  We tried to capture in picture through a bug splattered windshield.

Amazing what we take pictures of.
