Jerome, AZ

During the car repair and while we had a rental we ventured into the hills to see the old mining town of Jerome, AZ..  There is a 12 mile stretch of road (89A) that has 158 curves.  We did not traverse the entire 12 miles but what we did drive was enough.  Jerome is old but coming back.  There is new renovations on-going and it seemed there was a fair amount of tourist traffic.  Being on the side of a mountain makes finding a parking space tricky.

The town is on several levels and walking anywhere is moderate to difficult.

The view of the valley is spectacular.

All in all it was a great day.
