Welcome Race Fans

Here we are at the Phoenix International Raceway for the fall race.  This is also the next to last race of the season and it is very exciting with the championship still up for grabs.  Phoenix could be a decisive race.

We arrived at the track on Nov 3rd.  This picture was taken for the suites looking west.  You cannot see where we are parked because we're about a mile away.  My pre-race meeting was in the President of Phoenix International Raceway's suite.  Excellent view of the track and surrounding area.

In the past 2 days many of the employees have arrived and we've been sitting around swapping stories from our summer travels.  Cookie had her first shift last night and it was as quiet as always.  Tram set up is coming along well.  There have been some modifications to the route we will travel but all for the best.

It is cooler this year than it has been in the past.  We still get a steady breeze which makes it feel even more chilly.

I was at Wal-mart the other day and was introduced to ad share.  Ad share is if you see a product advertized in another store for less you just tell the cashier and you get the item for the price the other store is advertizing it for.  This saved us $1.50 on a bag of chips.  The person that mentioned it to me was stocking the shelf with the chips I bought.  I found that very helpful and friendly.

Well, it all starts tomorrow for 5 days I'll get little sleep but have a great time.  Everybody watch the race and cheer for number 29, Kevin Harvick, that's the driver I pull for.  He is currently in 3rd place in the chase for the championship.
