On to Washington

We pulled up stakes a day early and went to the casino for the night.  This proved to be a good move since we had to dump tanks and get fuel before heading north.

We got going about 9 or so, stopped to get fuel and guess what, NO CRANK.  I've had this problem before and thought I had it fixed with the 2 new batteries.  The only thing I could think of was to unplug the new wire harness for the lights on the car.  I did this and it worked.  I don't understand because it started before with it still connected.

We are at a very nice little preserve just outside the town of Ilwaco, WA.  The towns of Seaview and Long Beach are just up the road also.  It has been pleasant but cloudy for the most part.  Today has seen some clearing and warmer temps.

The Astoria Bridge, 4 miles long across the mouth of the Columbia River.

One of us had our eyes closed the whole way, I'm glad it wasn't the driver.  That is the largest single body of water we've been across in the motor home.

Long Beach, WA touts the Longest beach in the world.  It is truly long.  We drove out but I was unsure so I came back to firmer ground.

A familiar friend looking for a hand out.
